Thank you for helping me with my Japanese - this blog might be a good way for me to get Japanese lessons for free! (Just joking).
実は昨日の文書を「保存」しょうとした時、私の指は振れていました！本当に緊張しました！でも、皆さんのコメントのおかげで少し不安がなくなりましたので、今日は大丈夫です。
Actually, if you look at the responses to my questions, there is an interesting lesson for all language learners. 皆さんからのフィードバックは本当に私にとって役立ちますが、これだけためになるコメントがもらえたのは質問の具体的さにも関係があるでしょう。
Most Japanese students just ask teachers to "check my English", but they don't think carefully enough about what, exactly, they are unsure of. If you ask detailed questions, you will get detailed answers.
上達をしたいなら、単に「私の英語をチェックしてください」ではなくて、昨日私が書いたように、「この日本語を書きました。疑問に思うポイントはこれとこれです」のようにいえたら本当にすばらしいことです。実はスピーキングについても同じことが言えます。
英語を習っている人のほとんどは「先生、今日何を教えてくれますか」という姿勢で授業に行きますが、これは効果的な学習法ではありません。本当は「先生、今週私が英語でこのような英語に挑戦しました。言えたところはこれとこれです。疑問に思うのは、このポイントです。それから、これの正しい言い方が分からなかったから、教えてください。」
このような学習者だと上達はびっくりする早いですよ！もしよければ、このブログを利用して、そのような質問を書いてください。書いてくれたら、私が答えます。
では、今日は早く寝なければなりません。私はバイクが趣味で、明日は鈴鹿サーキットでの練習走行があります。この前にバイクの一部を修理に出して、今日自分で組み立てなおしました。私はメカニックの技術が本当にないので、明日は少し不安です！もし日曜日になってもブログの続きがないなら、心配してください！

Hi, David.
I have just read your blogs of yesterday and today,
and I would like to stress one point for all readers who wish to improve their English.
The point is: You asked specific questions, where you were uncertain about your writing. This is the very basic way to learn something quickly and effectively. If I had noticed this much earlier, I would have learned English as well as other subjects much faster.

Hello David and nice to meet you.
Your advice is really useful for me, because i have many occasions to write in foreign language (i m a student on history, living in France). Thank you for your blog.
Perhaps it is not really polite to say it, but i m imressed that your Japanese is almost perfect. It gives me a hope to know that one can arrive at this level of mastering a language after 12 years stay...

早速ですが、Davidのアドバイスを受けて、私の英語の質問を書いてみたいと思います。
近々、オーストラリア人の友達の出産祝いにおうちにうかがう約束をしています。赤ちゃんは男の子だそうですが、赤ちゃんを
ほめる言い方って、Ｈｅ ｉｓ ｓｏ ｂｅａｕｔｉｆｕｌ．とか言えますか？（ｂｅａｕｔｉｆｕｌって、女性に使うのかな？） Ｈｅ ｉｓ ａｄｏｒａｂｌｅ．は、どうですか。なんか、前にテレビか何かで赤ちゃんにそう言ってるのを聞いたことがあるような。。。そのほか、赤ちゃんを見てほめる言い方があったら教えてください。
