I'm back!

Hi Everyone,

Well, it's seven o'clock in the evening here, but my body still thinks it is 11 o'clock in the morning! I slept okay last night though, so I'm hoping the jet-lag is not going to be too bad this time.

Although I was only in the UK for 2 weeks, it felt like a really long trip. I think that's because I was moving around a lot and staying in lots of different places. As I mentioned before, Britain is having one of its worst summers for a long time. My father says he cannot remember a summer this bad in his lifetime. It rained almost every day when I was there, and it was so cold some days in North Wales that I could see my breath when I went out of the front door!

I wanted to show you some of the photos I took when I was back home, but the files are too big to upload. I will call ALC tomorrow and find out how to make them smaller.

Welcome back! How was your day? It was cool here today, and I didn't have to have the air conditioning on in my house. How was the weather in Seto? I hope you are not suffering too much in the heat of the Japanese summer and the jet-lag.

(When I was back from Italy this spring, I did not get over my Jet-lag for a week!)

I'm going to have a concert with my companions tomorrow night.
Today, I had rehearsal, but I could not sing well... I'm worried, but I will do my best!!

Hi, David,

Welcome back! I hope you don’t have a bad case of jet-lag. Actually, I’ve never had a jet-lag. Maybe because my mind and my body are too simple?
Anyway, the world’s weather patterns seem to be getting severe these days. When it’s hot, it’s scorching hot, and when it rains it pours. Something wrong with the earth? Or it’s just a part of earth history?

This summer semms strange all over the world. Is this because of global warming? I don't like a too hot summer, but a cold summer is weird pretty much.

I am glad you came back Japan safely, because the day before you came back, there was a plane accident in Okinawa. fortunately, all of the people on board survived unhurt.

you had a good time in onsen. it's really good for you. I like aroma massage, too. but I haven't had it for ages, so I want to go, too.

What kind of songs did you sing this time? by the way, I went to see the movie “the magic flute” last Wednesday, and it was fun. I am not familiar with operas, so I only knew the title. Aside from the story, the music is great. Mozart is really genius!!! You know Operas well, right? have you ever sing songs from this opera?

Thanks for your comment.
I sang songs of Italian opera at the concert.
I want to see the movie "Tha magic flute", but it has not shown at my town's theater yet.
I love Mozart's music, so I have sung lots of songs of Mozart.
I have sung a song of the opera "Tha magic flute", and the song was a song of "Pamina".
I'm going to sing a song of "The queen of the night" from that opera next time.
This song is one of the most difficult song in Mozart's opera, so it will be challenge for me to do it.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed "OCEAN’S THIRTEEN". George Clooney is charming! でしょ、でしょ？ 会社のおじたちと同じ歳なんて信じられな～い！（比べる方が間違ってるな。）
BTW, being able to sing is one of the greatest skills anyone can have, isn’t it? A very impressive talent. 大きな楽器を持っていかなくても、自分の身体があればいいというのも素敵です。（そのかわり、その声を維持するための努力は大変ですよね。）
I saw the opera ‘Tosca’ last year. It was fantastic, and I was moved to tears in certain parts. （イタリア語なんてレストランのメニューくらいしかわからないのに。） Singing voice has something, something very powerful.本当にうらやましいです。
