Toru (2)
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for listening to the interview and asking Toru (sorry about the spelling!) so many questions. And thank you Toru for writing such long and detailed responses.
One thing Toru didn't mention was that he plays in the Nanzan University Orchestra. He is a multi-talented individual (and a really nice guy too.) I guess it must be difficult to move from one country to another when you are a child, but as Toru said, it was easier for him because he went to a high school where almost everyone was in the same situation.
Anyway, I will be back with a new topic on Monday, so have a great weekend, and see you soon.

Hi David and everyone,
How's your weekend?
I couldn't open PC and this blog these days because I was so busy with family matters.
I love 'The time of my life' by David Cook ,too!
His song after the announcement was so touching.
Tomo, this is his debut single on i tunes, and now his song is ranked in the top 10!
Hi ANNA,
Nice to have you here, and have fun together here.
Bye for now,
Anne

Hi David and Everyone,
I have a question, and I want to ask for your opinions. I posted the same comment with a link, but it seems to take time to appear here, so I repost it without the link. If you have time, please go to my blog by clicking my name and take a look at my question.
(I hope this will work. And please disregard it when my former comment finally appears.)
Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
Did you have a nice weekend? I had a nice relaxing day today.(I slept a lot!)
Hi Anne,
It's his own song, is it? Thanks for the information! You love that song, too? I listened to it over and over, and now I can sing it(only the first part). Actually, I'm writing this as listening the song;-)
Hi Lily,
I know the story, but the English version is quite difficult for me. Can you give me some time? I'll try to think about it again later.
See you all tomorrow,
Tomo

Hi Lily,

Hi Toru,
Thank you for answering our questions and sharing your thoughts, American life and ideas with us.
So, you are sophomore now ,and major in international policy studies, and play in Nanzan university orchestra.
Can I ask what instrument do you play?
I hear a lot of students experience culture shock and reverse culture shock when they go to foreign countries and return to Japan again. Reading your writing reminded me of that, and I'm glad to know your efforts and teacher's supports in elementary school worked well to overcome various kinds of difficulties, and you really enjoyed American life there. And parents seem to be involved with school activities in America more casually, and naturally, and I think it's good for both parents and teachers to get to know each other.
Actually, my niece and nephew lived in Chicago and London 5 years each because of their father's work.( My nephew was born in Chicago, and lived 3 years there.) Big difference between you and them is that they were in Japanese elementary school in London. They enjoyed their life there and travelled lots of places in UK. My sister was involved with the activities in a kindergarten as a volunteer when her child ( niece) was in kindergarten in Chicago.
I think each country has its own culture , and it would have sometimes been tough for you to face , but you could experience both cultures, and that would be good for you.
You want to work for a job that you can get along with lots of people around, right? Your experience in America is definitely a big help for you , and I hope your dreams come true!
You major in international studies, don't you? Talking of America, recent huge topic related to the U.S. has been the ' Presidential election'.
If you would vote, who do you expect to be the next U.S. president, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain? Hillary Clinton will officially make an announcement on Saturday.
Now I talk too much.
Again thank you answering my questions.
I hope you enjoy the college life and it would be a fruitful one for you.
Anne
