I have just read the whole of that article I recommended, and it says that some people in the UK do use the expression 'walk the talk'. It also says, however, that this comes from a mishearing of the American expression. If I heard anyone saying 'walk the talk', I would correct them!

Thank you for your explanation! Actually, I learned that phrase from my friend who lives in America. When I first read the expression, I had no idea what it meant because it was new for me, so I looked in a dictionary. It said 'walk the talk' , 'talk the talk and walk the walk', and 'walk one's talk' have a meaning of ‘有言実行する’. I like the Japanese expression ‘有言実行’, so I liked that phrase too. But, if you say “If I heard anyone saying 'walk the talk', I would correct them!”, I have to change my favorite phrase to 'walk the walk and talk the talk.'(but it's too long, and I'm not sure how to use it..)

Thank you for your feedback on the examples sentences. About the ones I made(the first three), actually, I thought 'would' was okay in all the sentences, but in the first one, ‘'going to' sounds a bit more like his intention, not your prediction’ I see. I think I'm starting to get it.(just a little bit, though) Thank you very much!

Thank you for your feedback on my example sentences. About No.1, I wanted to express "終わりに近づいている”situation ,and I thought "be going to" was proper here. I'll try to think another way to express this meaning. By the way, "marriage life" is completely Japanese English,right? We say "マリッジライフ " in Japanese.
As for No2, I should have used " become" not "be". I got it.
Thanks again for your feedback; it was really helpful for me to think about "will" and "going to",and I 'll try to develop a sense of how they are used more and more.

(This is correct. It means that you invited them. If you said 'I asked them if they were going to...' it would sound like you weren't really inviting them, but just asking them if they were planning to come along.)

Hi David and everyone,

I had fulfilling my dream of learning to English. One of them; I can a bit communicate with foreinger in English; I can commenting on this blog even not regularly with using personal computer; to add I can reading web news and watching international news; the biggest one of my change is that I stayed twice with Canadian's home for student of English learner; this was a great experience in my own life, indeed; I've never decided such a big adventure if I was not studying English at the time;

Anyway, I had a strong desire going abroad when I joined a local English circle. I was not looking back to my English powerless, but I was looking forward to meet unknown people and talk about something in my poor English with them. Besides, I expected new things I've not experienced before, and I happyly got a lot of them.

Tomo loved the proverb "walk the walk" and "talk the talk" was my father's favorite saying, too and he wrote it on a large square card with indian brush and ink by himself and pinned up on the wall. He was a faithful man.

I tried to work out how to say 有言実行 in English. My opinion is "to hold myself to one's word".
My dictionary has to say is that [hold someone to something: to cause someone to act on a promise or agreement]
I remembered it because I had wrote down
"I'm going to hold myself to my new year's resolutions" in my notebook last year.
I hope I could help your question.

Hi everyone,
How was your holiday?
I visted three shrines because today is the national holiday celebratintg the foundation of Japan! Why three? I love seeing them.
As you probably know, you may often feel relaxed or humble when you're in the precincts or area of a shrine.

After that, I secretly went to a sushi bar which my acquaintances ran. Actually, they are my wife's friend and her husband. She lived in my hometown several years ago. When she got married, she moved to another city far away from my hometown and opened this sushi bar. I only had met her just once so I didn't think she would recognize me.

About ten minutes later, as soon as I started "I'm ...", she said "You must be my friend's husband." She remembered me. According to her, she was wondering from the beginning. She said she didn't expect such a tall man like me but I should live far away. I explained I was living in the next city. I called my wife and I handed my cellphone to my wife's friend. She started talking with regional accent. I was glad to see that. Of course, the sushi tasted great.

How about "promise to make what I said come true" or "have my words happen(realize)" or "be a reliable person on my words" or "be persistent with what I said" ?
Be careful I "made" all of them. I didn't see a dictionary. I'd be happy if at least one of them would help you.

The phrase "walk the talk" sounds good, but " talk the talk and walk the walk" is a little bit long as you said, and what came up to my mind is.."I want be faithful to my own words"( I looked up in a dictionary, though..) This expression might be different from "有言実行"　a little bit.
By the way, the word"walk" reminds me the movie"Walk the line".

I watched that movie too! I think the idea of changing the house is not so popular in Japan, but as Maki said, a lot of people seems to enjoy this system in the world.

Today, I watched a movie"Che Two" with my husband , and watched"Che One" last week.
These two movies are about Che Guevara's life, and my husband was in the midst of student movement when he was in college, and Che was a key person for students. Anyway, he seemed to be satisfied with the movie. Me?.... I got to know a lot of things about him.

Talk the talk and walk the walk について少しだけ。
まず、talk the talkは「物事をきちんと話す」、walk the walkは「物事をきちんと実行する」のイディオムです。（英辞朗から）　　Davidも言っているようにこの二つが合わさって使われるようになった、と言う事です。ですから、本来はtalk　the talk and walk the walkが正しい言い方です。
David が紹介してくれたwebによれば、Talk is cheap〈話すだけでは安っぽい〉と言う考え方から"actions speak louder than words"(行動は単なる言葉だけよりものをいう。）と言う考え方によるものです。
最初に戻って、「言った事はきちんとやる」→「有言実行」となるのだと思います。
また考えますね。

ところで、バレンタインのチョコ私も買いましたよ。自分チョコ（？）も＾＾）デパート、ものすごい人でした。人の多さに疲れた！

By the way, if you are interested in Darwin and his works, BBC covers special program and articles now, and you can read and listen to them. Visit BBC homepage, and click the word,"Darwin season" on the upper part of the page, and again click "Darwin: a landmark anniversary for 2009."

I read an article about "gyaku choco" two weeks ago and I found it in Seven-Eleven. Its package was printed reversely. Some men and women were interviewed about "gyaku choco" and 80% men dis agreed with the idea and 80% women agreed with it. Though I don't know how many people had this intereview. That's interesting, isn't it?!

Tomo, at the middle of BBC Today page, you see the part" Darwin vs Lincoln, just click it, and then you reach that page.
As for the page that I mentioned , type "Darwin season 2009 homepage" in the blank of BBC Homepage and search, and you see a lot of articles ,so again choose that words.
