The Final Stages
Hi team,
Are you enjoying the weekend? I have spent the last few days sitting in front of my computer making changes to the book after reading feedback from the volunteer checkers. It is amazing how much work these people have done, and I want to say a big "thank you!" to all of you. People have spotted even really small mistakes, so I'm hoping that I will be able to get the book as close to perfect as possible.
The final deadline for submitting the book for printing is Monday evening, so I will be working on it all day tomorrow as well. In some ways, I am looking forward to getting it finished, but in others, I am dreading it because I know that there will still be some mistakes that I haven't been able to find.
A friend of mine who also writes and publishes books said the other day that he loves getting the books back from the printer, but I hate that part the most because I know that I am going to find mistakes. When new books of mine are published, I always feel depressed for about two or three weeks because I don't think they are as good as they should be, but I usually get over that after about a month. I'm sure that this time will be no exception, so I'm not really going to be able to feel happy for a while yet!
Anyway, I have to get back to proof-reading. Thanks again to all the people who have helped. This book will be a lot better than it would have been without your input.
Bye for now.

Hi David,
You are welcome. I'm glad I could help:) By the way, you hate getting the books back from the printer? I thought it was one of the most exciting parts for writers. I hope you will be able to feel relaxed and happy soon!
My daughter finished kindergarten today, so I attended the graduation ceremony. It was nice to see her growing up. My oldest son will finish junior high school the day after tomorrow, so I'm going to attend his graduation ceremony as well.
See you soon,
Tomo

hey there,
I think it cannot be always bad thing to feel you could have done something better than it really is.
I respect your way actually.
Usually I just let go of my writting or work and try not to think about it later. Especially the time when I wrote my dissertation a year ago...
Still 1 month might be too long to get depressed lol
I hope this time it can last shorter anyhow.
See you,
Roco

Hi team,
It's nearly 3 a.m. now, and we still haven't finished the checking! I'm waiting for feedback from my editor in Tokyo, and then I have to make the changes he suggests, so I won't be going to bed for a while yet.

Aloha !
It's still Sunday evening here, Hawaii.
I can hear the band playing music now.
I happened to see Honolulu festival today and what's the most surprising was that this festival has been hosted Japanese tourist company. It's been 15 years ! I saw some performances of my home area and they brought me back in Japan.
Bye for now.

Hi team,
The checking is over, and the final data was submitted today. As predicted, I am now depressed because I won't be able to make any more changes. Actually, as I was reading it, I was thinking about how I might word the explanations better in the next edition! そういう性格だから仕方がないね。
Anyway, I'm going to watch a bit of TV, and then I'm going to bed. Thanks again to all of you who helped out over the weekend.

Hi David,
You have finished all the work and what you can do now is just to wait! You are depressed and you were thinking about how you might word the explanations better in the next edition. Hmm... you have really a positive way of thinking and I guess that's the key of your success.
Anyway, sleep tight tonight!
Hi amo,
I think your expression makes sense.
Hi Nao,
Take care and have a great time in London.
Looking forward to your story.
Hi Tomo,
Having dinner with your big sister's family?
That sounds nice!
Hi Appoh,
Aloha! Your story reminds me of TANKA by 石川啄木
”ふるさとのなまりなつかし。。。。”
Hi everyone,
Speaking of TV, I watched " Glee" today; it is American musical comedy-drama and I like this program!

I'm glad that I could help you. I studied very much during proof-reading.
I'm looking forward to your book is published.
By the way, I bought and read the latest issue of English Journal. I enjoyed your article, especially, a fact that even native speakers are infected with Japanese English.

Hi Appoh
Wow, Hawaii! Here is still bit cold. I wish I were there, also. Have a good time!

Aloha !
I'm still here, Honolulu at the hotel across Waikiki beach.
I've been keeping myself busy. It's a tough business trip, isn't it ?
I have to walk around on the beach in the morning , then I need to have delicious lunch with beautiful young ladies and I should enjoy dinner watching a sunset. I wish someone else took over my job.
Bye for now. Please don't throw any stones at me.

Hi David and everyone,
David,do you still feel depressed? I hope not.
Have you ever heard the name" Krispy Kreme Doughnuts"? A Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop ,which originated in the U.S , was newly opened here in Nagoya yesterday. I saw a lot of people were queuing up in front of the shop in a department store at Nagoya station. Actually this is the first shop in Nagoya.
This morning I heard a TV anchor talking about the opening of the shop in the program and he mentioned that some people had to wait for eight and a half hours to get them. Eight and a half hours!!! Can you believe that? Can you wait such a looong hours? No way! I like sweets and I want to try them sometime. When can I get them without having to wait or maybe after waiting fifteen minutes or something?
By the way, you say"クリスピークリームドーナッツ" in Japanese, so I thought you would write " Crispy Cream Doughnuts",but I was wrong. Wouldn't it more make sense as "Crispy Cream Doughnuts"?
Have you ever tried them? Do you like them?
Hi Amica,
You have been very busy these days, haven't you?
風邪引かないようにね^^)
I'm going to temple on 21st,ohigan, and to visit family grave after that.
Bye for now,
