Vietnam Photos
Hi team,
I have uploaded some of the photos I took in Vietnam. I can't show you any photos of students because I forgot to ask their permission, but these will give you some idea of what it was like.
Also, I am going to need volunteers to check my new book next week...
The book is the new version of "An A-Z of Common English Errors." It is in Japanese, and it has more key words and better explanations than the last edition. If you volunteer to help, I will send you a free copy of the book when it is ready. I will also put your name in the book if there are not too many people. (By the way, "copy" is how books are counted in English - it doesn't mean 写し).
In April, I will also be publishing an English version of the book, so I will ask for help with that nearer the time.
The kind of check I need at this stage is just proof-reading. It is too late to make any big changes, so all I want you to do is 間違い探し. The manuscript will be ready next Wednesday, and the deadline is the evening of Sunday 14th. I know that is not much time, but I hope that at least one or two of you will be able to help. (If you don't have time to do everything, it is fine to just do half.)
Anyway, if you would like to help, please email me at info at btbpress.com. (I used the word "at" because if you use the "at mark," computers can pick it up automatically and send junk mail to my computer.)
Hope you like the photos.

Hi David,
Thanks for sharing the photos of Vietnam.
As you mentioned before, the photos that a lot of people ride on bikes look very energetic and if I were there, I'm sure I would be terrified to cross the street after seeing this photo!
The photo of dishes...hmmm... look yummy! Did you like them?
By the way, concerning proof-reading, I think I can be a volunteer. I'll e-mail you later.
Hi Tomo,
I have a look at the Goggle logo , and yes! It's nice.
Bye for now,
Anne

Hi David,
Thanks for uploading the photos. I had a look at them all. When I saw the one on the blog, I thought that they were waiting for a race to start! That's the crazy traffic in Hanoi you were talking about, isn't it? I can't believe it!
By the way, there will be no special events from 10th to 13th, so I can help you with the proof-reading. I'll mail you later.

They're special and healthy!!
And I envy your students.
Because I want to travel with you David:)
It would be so nice and fun!!
Also I can study English with you again!
You're the best teacher I've ever met,I think.
I want to help(read?) for your new book, too.
But I am not sure that I can come up to your expectation..
So if you can't get enough help,I am glad to do that!
Thank you

Hi David,
I'm sorry I can't help you with proof-reading but I might be able to correct only one word on this entry.
We write "写し" not "移し" if you mean "copy" as "コピー".
Anyway, you look happy at dinner in the picture. That's nice. Thank you.

Hi David
Thank you for uploading photos. There are too many motorbikes!
Some riders wear a mask. Is it to avoid inhaling exhaust? Were there so smoky?
I love a picture of river and rocks covered with green. It's beautiful.
I want to help you with proof-reading. Maybe, I cannot have enough time, and I don't have enough skill. But if you let me try, I want to do that. I will email later.
Hi popo
Welcome to the blog. Nice to meet you!
Hi Appoh
おくればせながら, I read your entry "ご紹介" and watched movies. That guy was interesting and funny. But his speech is worth to listen.
And, おくればせながら, Congratulations, 20th wedding anniversary.

Hi David
Thank you for the photos of Vietnam. I enjoyed watching them.
Hi Green
Sorry for my late reply.
Unfortunately I cannot speak German I only know some phrases like greeting or something like that. I have watched “Elisabeth” performed in both German and Japanese a couple of times. I should say I would enjoy the musical even if I did not understand the story. I really like the songs.
Hi everyone
How is the weather where you are? It is raining here in Tokyo. It was a warm day yesterday but it seems like back to winter again!! I couldn’t keep up this changeable weather and I’ve got a cold again.
How is your weekend? I am sure that most of you are having more fun than I am.
Hi Anne
I bet you enjoying yourself in Nara!! Hope it is good weather in Nara.
Hi Chiyo
Don’t say sorry for what you wrote something private. It’s ok to write anything here, if not I always have to say sorry for everyone;) So don’t worry and write anything you want!
Take care,
amo

Hi Chiyo and David,
30 is still young! Don't worry.
I'm going to make a sentence.
「Women are the most likely to be who they should be in their thirties.」
30代の女性は自分らしさが出てもっとも輝く年頃だということを回りくどく表現したつもりですが・・・何のことかわからなくなってしまいました。とほほ
どなたか添削お願いいたします。

Hi Appoh,
I'm glad that you look fine even in US.
I dare translate your Japanese sentence in English as below.
Ladies in their thirties look bright as in just the ways they are.
How about that?

Hi Chiyo,
The reason I don't look old is that I don't use recent photos on my blog or my books!

Hi team,
Sorry I didn't have time to do another entry today. I have been working on the vocabulary book because it has to be ready by tomorrow morning. It's finished now, but it was really hard work.
I'll try to do a new entry tomorrow afternoon.
By the way, thanks for all the offers of help with the new book. The file will be ready by Wednesday night (or Thursday night at the latest.)

Hi David,
I'm sorry I can't help you this time because I'm busy in these days.
I would like to help you next time.
Hi amo,
Thank you for your message.
I've been to Germany long ago.
I like streets, houses in Germany and German way of thinking.
I only know "グーテンタグ" "ダンケシェン" and "ビッテシェン" but I like Germany sound.
Hi Nao,
You caught a cold?
Are you all right?
I hope you soon get better.
旅行中でなくて、何よりでした。
