Cameron's Final Comment
Hi team,
Cameron emailed me to say that he is still unable to post his comment on the blog. I don't know why this happens, but anyway, here is his last comment:
Hello everyone!
It was so nice to talk with you all this week - I'm just sorry I wasn't able to make more posts...
Anyway, this will be my last post for a while - I'm off on my honeymoon next week! Miwa and I are going to Borneo, where we will be diving, hiking and jungle trekking. At the very end, we will pop over to the UK to see my grandad, who wasn't able to fly over to Miyazaki for our wedding.
But before that, I have a friend's wedding to go to this afternoon, at Aoshima Shrine - which is the same shrine I got married at. Please look it up on the internet - or better still visit - it's one of the most beautiful places I know, on a small sub-tropical island surrounded by "oni no sentaku ita". Has anyone else been there?
Anyway, must dash, but I hope to talk again when we get back from our honeymoon at the end of August!

I hope you all enjoyed having a guest this week. In a couple of weeks, I will ask Alastair, who works with Cameron, to join us as another special guest. His life story is very interesting too, so I'm sure you will have fun chatting with him.
This morning, I tried a bit of "sawanobori" for the first time. "Sawanobori" is the sport of climbing a mountain by walking/climbing up a river. If you do this, you can walk up mountains even when there is no trail. This morning, I only went for about an hour, but I had a great time. I'm going to try doing it properly on my next trip.
This afternoon, I'm meeting bbz (he sometimes comments here) to talk about a new book we are working on. Tomorrow, I'm going to go for a ride on my bike during the day (if the weather stays fine), and then I'm going to drive to Aoki san's house in Nakashihoro tomorrow night. I'll probably spend all of next week up around Lake Kussharo and Shiretoko. I'm hoping to do a bit of motorcycling, a bit of bicycling, and a bit of hiking. It's my favourite part of Hokkaido, so I'm really looking forward to going back there again.
So when in the World Cup final? Is it tomorrow? I don't really know much about football, but I have a feeling that Spain are going to win. I quite like Spain because their star striker, Fernando Torres, plays for Liverpool. Anyway, it will be interesting to see whether the octopus gets it right!

It was so nice also for us to talk with you. Thanks again for joining us! I haven't been to Aoshima Shrine (actually I haven't been to even Kyusyu yet), so I had a look at it on the internet. As you said, it's a very beautiful place! Besides a combination of
a shrine and tropical plants is really interesting. Hope to visit there some time.:-)

I wondered how the weather was where you were in the morning, because it had been raining in my area since last night. I'm glad that you could try "sawanobori". It sounds fun! I used to do fly-fishing and I loved walking up a river.
Did you show your lovely phone and the nice bed in your car to bbz? I'm just wondering who is a winner this time.;-)
It seems that the weather will be nice during the next week except Monday. Have a lot of FUN at your favourite places!

I went to my mother's field as usual on Saturday. I was amazed to find how tall wild grasses were.
I can't tell vegetables from weeds. What big enegetic vitalities they have! I have to tackle weeds especially this season.

Thanks again for letting us know your stories and it was really fun to hear from you. By the way, when I was young, I traveled to Kyushu from Kagoshima up to Nagasaki and visited Miyazaki,but haven't visited Aoshima Shrine yet. It was very beautiful! Looking forward to talking with you again.

How is the weather today? Does it stay fine? It's raining around here in Nagoya. I guess you are driving to Aokisan's house at the moment. It is nice to see Aokisan's family again,isn't it?
I hope the weather will be fine for a while enough to enjoy doing motorcycling and other activities in Hokkaido.
By the way, I saw an elderly aged 93(!) riding a bike on TV;not 50cc bike but the same one as you have . He looked cool! There is a looong way to get to 93 years old and you are really young. Have FUN!!

Did you have a great weekend? Yesterday was the last day at the community college in the spring semester that I have been taking a class. We had a summer party after the class. We ate,talked, laughed and talked... I had a great time last night but I felt sleepy and had a sore throat this morning. I'm afraid I talked too much!
By the way, Paul got it right and Germany won the game!

Actually it's the first time I heard of "sawanobori", so I looked up in internet, it seems to be a kind of hard sports, a nice try even though you only went for an hour.

How was your weekend? I went to see my mother and stayed overnight at her place. Today the weather was a nice and I helped her to pick some plums(梅) at her garden, and then she made 梅酒!
As Anne mentioned, Paul got it right again...Anyway, I will get up for the final game and cheer for the Netherlands!

What a amazing octopus! I cheered Uruguay, but a winner was Germany. I was touched that Diego Forlan, Uruguayan striker, answered an interview with smile after Uruguay's defeat. He seemed he was satisfied that they have done best.
I think Spain will be a champion.
I noticed that I cheer opposite side of most of blog members cheer...

Did you watch the World Cup final? When I woke up this mooring, they were still playing in the extra time, so I watched the moment that Spain won the World Cup. My husband is having a five-day weekend.(He is taking three days off from today.）, so he stayed up all night watching the final. As I mentioned before, he was cheering for Holland, but he likes both teams, so he said that he was happy that they all had a great game. Actually, my middle son, who loves soccer, was cheering for Spain. I was going to cheer for both teams, but my husband and my son made a bet for ice cream last night, so I decided to be on my son's side. My husband is watching a replay of the final and news about the World Cup on TV now, and I'm thinking of lovely ice cream he is going to buy us♪

Well since two days ago she has been getting a pop-up/scam thing popping up while she surf's the net and she is kinda blaming me on something i done to make this happen i told her time and time Again it's a scam to make u think u have virus on ur computer and and there trying to make u buy the virus software to remove It And she wondering how to stop this from happening/ to pop up.

My computer wont boot! After the dell screen, it's just black. No cursor or nothing. Right before that happened there were a bunch of viruses on it. Did it crash?? And is there any hope for my files? Oh and if it helps it's a Dimension 2350 with Windows XP home

It looks like it was fine today where you were. "Sawanobori" sounds tough, doesn't it? Did you put on any special shoes? I think you were able to learn the ropes of it for the next time. As for the final match, yes, it will be held tomorrow late night or on the early morning of 12th: from 3:00 a.m. I'm going to cheer for Holland but I'm worried a bit whether Spain are going to have supernatural power or not:) Enjoy a lot of activities next week too in your favorite part of Hokkaido!
