Celebrity Scandals (Feedback)
As I'm sure you are aware, today is the day of the royal wedding in Britain. I am generally in favour of the monarchy, but I'm afraid that I can't get excited about this wedding at all. Maybe if I were back at home it would be different, but as it is, I'm not even going to bother watching it on TV.
Thanks for your comments on the topic of celebrity scandals. I do not particularly care what celebrities do in their private lives, but it seems that a lot of people do because they buy the magazines and newspapers that contain these stories. If these stupid people stopped buying the magazines and newspapers, I guess we would hear a lot less of these kinds of stories.
Having said that, I do not like the idea of "privacy" injunctions. I think this is a slippery slope, and I can imagine politicians trying to use the law to hide things that the public really do have a need to know. Anyway, here is some feedback on your comments.
I am always sorry for the celebrities.
("I always feel sorry for..." is probably the most natural way to say this.)
It seems like everybody in this country are so busy at this moment.
(One of the strange things about English is that "everyone" and "everybody" are singular, so it should be "is so busy.")
Freedom of media is symbol of Democratic Nations like UK or Japan.
(There is a special phrase for this: freedom of the press.)
So I`m basically the same opinion with David.
(So I basically have the same opinion as David.)
Well that was for today.
(Well, that's it for today.)
It seems like it's going to get hot today here.
(hot here today)
It was supposed to rain in the morning, but it's sunny!
(Nice sentence.)
As for the topic, I think it's very difficult to draw a line between freedom of the press and celebrities' right to privacy.
(Very nice sentence!)
I've got my part-time job on Golden Week, though.
(I'm working in Golden Week, though.)
I totally agree with Murun.
(This is a useful expression to learn if you don't know it.)
I sympathize with these celebrities' families, especially their children.
(Nice sentence.)
But..., this month, I had my birthday, and I wondered if I got the present for my birthday from you.
(I sent it! Hasn't it arrived yet? It must have got lost in the post.)
For example stories like, someone is dating someone, are broadcasted continuingly for some time while more serious matters are left untold.
(For example, stories about who is dating who are broadcast continuously for weeks on end while more serious matters are ignored by the media.)
I think people who are authorities, public people or celebrities have to わきまえる their situations, because of they are 公の人.
(Maybe "People who are in the public eye have to accept the reality of their situation.")
David's questions give me a chance to think about many things.
Glad to be of help :-)
Have a great weekend, and see you again on Monday.

Hi David,
Thanks for your feedback. I know “I feel sorry…” so I don’t know why I didn’t use it. I really should be more careful.
How was your first day of GW? Did you do something fun, like go for a ride? I went to Kameido Tenjinsya(亀戸天神社) to see wisteria(藤), but I should have waited another week, because it’s not in full bloom. Even so, there are a lot of people there, and they enjoyed taking pictures of it. Of course I did too.
Good night and sweet dreams,
amo

Hi David,
Thank you for the feedback. I didn't expect to have new entry yet.
There are many corrections in one sentence of mine. It's still a long way for me to be able to produce correct English. I came up with "~who is dating who~" but I was not sure if that was correct or not so I changed that to "someone is dating someone". OK, I understand now. There are lots of things I'm not sure about: for example, do I need to put "," or not.
Hi everyone,
Did you see the royal wedding yesterday?
(Ms.) Kate is blooming with youth. I wish I were young again like her. トホホ(涙)

Hi, David,
Thank you for your feedback. It's always useful.
Hi, Fumie,
I watched the royal wedding on TV. Kate was beautiful and looked stunning in gorgeous wedding dress. I even didn't know that though, her full first name is Catherine and normally, she's just called Kate. So when I saw a subtile that say "Catherine" for Kate, I was a bit of confused. It's inevitable that she's going to be chased by paparazzi and be eyed by so many people in the world, but I want her to be happy.
Have a nice day!

Hi momo,
I want Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cambridge to be happy too. I wonder where are they on their honeymoon? (The destination wasn't told for their privacy.)

Hi everyone,
I'm really sorry that I didn't post for a long time about India because I couldn't afford to get the time.
I'm afraid to say that my impression in India is just messy and dusty.
The city where I stayed was Grugaon; located in southwest to Dehli. It takes about thirty minutes from Gnadhi Airport by taxi.
The air in Grugaon was hazy and dusty. We was able to see a blue sky in the morning just around over my head. One the third day I couldn't stop coughing.
The traffic rules in Grugaon was loose. Our Japanese staff members in Grugaon are prohibited driving there so they keep own car with drivers.
One of the member said, "After my driver drives me to my house and he parks the car, he walks to his house. He always bring a bar?"
Could you guess why he brings a bar?
Because it is to drive wild dogs away.
He added that if he was bitten by wild dogs, he might get rabies.
Of course, I couldn't drink water from the tap in my hotel room. Oh!, my hotel way a cozy hotel. Many Japanese stayed there so the hotel served Japanese dishes.
I really understood why many Indian people live in Japan after they got jobs as mostly software engineers. The hygiene situation in Japan is much better in India. Considering child rearing, I suppose many parents choose Japan to live.
I have more things to talk about India.
However, I don't have enough time.
Bye for now.

Hi David and everyone,
What is the weather like where you are?
It's raining and a bit chilly here in Nagoya.
I've learned a lot from members' comments and David's feedback even though I ended up writing nothing this week. Thanks!
Hi momo and Fumie,
Newlywed royal couple seem to have put off honeymoon and have decided to have a private weekend to themselves instead.
I watched it live. Yes, she was beautiful!
Hi Gussan,
Thanks for sharing your experiences in India.
Enerything is new to me and it is fun to hear from you.
Looking forward to hearing from you again when you have time.

Hi David and everyone,
It`s Murun. David, thank you for your feedback. It is really useful. I have learnt a lot from my and others` mistakes that you have corrected for us.
Golden Week holiday has just started so I have come to Kanazawa city in Ishikawa Pre. with my husband and one year old daughter. Kanazawa city is my husband`s hometown. We are spending lovely time together here.
And yesterday I saw the Royal Wedding on TV which I was looking forward to see it. And I liked it. Prince William looked nice in his uniform and Princess Kate was so beautiful in her wedding dress. I personally loved her pure white dress. I wish them all the best.
Have a wonderful GW!
Thank you.

Can I simply say what a relief to find somebody who actually knows what theyre speaking about on the internet. You undoubtedly know the right way to convey a difficulty to light and make it important. Extra folks must learn this and perceive this facet of the story. I cant believe youre not more well-liked since you positively have the gift.

Hi David,
Thanks for your feedback!
It seems like it's going to get hot today here.
(hot here today)
Oh, yes, I should have put "place" before "time". I'd forgotten the basic rule when I was writing this.
As for the topic, I think it's very difficult to draw a line between freedom of the press and celebrities' right to privacy.
(Very nice sentence!)
Actually, I was not sure about this sentence especially the part after "between", so I'm glad to hear your compliment. Thank you:)
Have a lovely Golden Week, everyone!
Tomo
PS "Slippery slope" is an interesting expression and easy to imagine.
